| That Robot/android/think with the green orb in its mouth was very awesome thats the kind of action I like to see. |
This is also the first episode I can really remember where the major dosen't just mop the floor with anyone and anything in her path, with zero resistance.
I mean, aside from the one episode with the cloned gueilla leader, where the fight scene was also slightly different than the "random enemy attacks major, major completely destroys enemy in under a minute" formula.

I was sort of dissapointed in so many stand alone episodes in a row though. I'm itching to see what happens with the laughing man, and it's taking all my effort not to look up spoilers.

I'd say this was a pretty good episode (two cool stand alone episodes in a row!). The opening scene with the garbage truck hit was a cool sequence - and how Batou took care of the android.
Plus, the assassin plot was interesting, even though the "dead man with all the gold" thing was a little expected. Still the action of the sneaking into the mansion was cool. And the shotgun of goid coins was pretty neat.
And Lia Sargent's voice for the androids? Yes!

Ok I am a little lost.. Just who the hell is Lia Sargent?
And another thing, why didn't the Major just wear her normal clothes, she fell in the trash with a jumpsuit on.

Liked the kneesocks look though.

Oh, only the person who gave life to the engligh speaking R. Dorothy Waneright THAT'S ALL!!!
And the major likely had her normal clothes on under the sanitation engineer jumpsuit, and they too were likely soiled through the trashperson disguise.

Ohh her, yeah she is the voice of Shion Uzuki as well. Always found her voice to eb somewhat irritating.

"Bring the damn car around" (which is a line said by the major early in the episode, and its so minor I'm surprised we remembered it) has now become some kind of BIZZARE recurrent gag between myself and a friend.
I forget why, but it was reiterated about 50 times today.

Well, that's not so bad then.
I was worried they'd pull a Takahashi character death on us. "forget the laughing man ever happened! Go away!"

Did anyone watch last nights episode?
This seemed like a contiuation of the episode where one of the tachikomas runs away.
It was wierd watching robots have a philosophical discussion, but I tihnk they had a point when they said that when the robots become too human and begin questioning life death and god, it creeps people out and they can't use them as tools anymore. A weapon isn't supposed to be cute.
I was kind of surprised that they'd write in the demise of the tachikomas though.

NO! They can't get rid of the Tachicomas, can they?
They are whole characters in themselves.

Their boss, the white haired guy (I love his VA. Gordon, right?) in tonight's episode commented about the major's costume, something about her trying to distract him. And I just thought 'You're kidding right? She always dresses like a skank. |
I thought that was the funniest part about that episode. I mean, she barely wears anything anyway. Maybe he's into navels or something.
The assassins were cool and the maids. All those weapons and how they were hidden. Very cool. And I laughed at Batou's comment about the cars...

And the dogs... hehehe. How he tricked them. Interesting episode. Nice twist. The part with Togusa's computer was rather puzzling. Probably does have something to do with that program and the Laughing Man.
This most recent ep...
I love the Tachicomas! Nooooo! They can't do that. On the other hand, I understand why the Major made that decision. But they are one aspect of the show I really like. Interesting discussions they had. I have to admit that. Well, hopefully they can rework the AI. Darn.

I'm guessing there will probably be a number of subplots/further stand alone episodes dealing with them.

I hope they don't go the predictable machines become cognizant and take over route.

I doubt it. It doesn't seem like GitS's style.
Plus they already tackled sentient computer lifeforms in the movie.

That episode confused me in ways I have never been confused before. What exactly was wrong with that boxer and the blind spot? Oh and why was Batou so pissed by the end of the episode? Is his wife and daughter gone or something?

maybe batou wife left him and took their daughterwith her!

I'm not so sure. His "wife" looked very much like the Major to me.
