from the looks of it, Kit Fisto dies. Kit Fisto, known to my sister and I as the smiling Jedi from the second film, was the "shizz" (or whatever you kids say today). They also made a big deal about him in the Clone Wars. I just wish he had a much bigger part

Thats my boy, Scott!! Yeah...pissed that

Kit Fisto goes down the way that he does.
He is EASILY my favorite non major Jedi character. One complete badass...well, until this upcoming movie. Very much too bad...oh, its Shiznit, to be exact! Or you could go old school (from 2 years ago) and say Shizzle...

Hmm.
spoiler (highlight to read):
He needs to die, though, because all Jedi are killed during the Purge except Obi-Wan and Yoda (as Yoda said in Episode VI or some such.)

I'm haven't really followed up on the Star Wars movies (wish I had though, I've only seen Episode II and VI), but I heard that George Lucas is making a possible Episode VII? True or BS?

BS. Lucas says this is his last Star Wars film ever, which is probobly a good thing.

No matter how awesome Ep III Its too late for me to consider the prequels anything more than a disappointment.

yeah, 4,5,6 were the best... the best... funny thing is: they were running on the worst of circumstances, they were almost cancelled, the Tatooine shot starting screwing up from the start, but in the end they pull out a great trilogy classic!

You'd think screwing up star wars would be pretty tough to do, but our George, well, he's a special one.

I just saw some German tv exclusive on III earlier, which showed some finished vids of Grievous and the first 40 seconds or so of the movie once the crawl goes away. Damn...
spoiler (highlight to read):
The beginning is Anakin/Obi in their Tie-esque fighters as they flow low above the hull of a star destroyer. When they reach the front, they dive down towards the planet, which then the camera reveals just how big the battle of coruscant is...and my jaw dropped. The sheer amount of things going on was amazing. Explosions and flak everyone, giant capital ships on every part of the screen. As the camera goes back to following Ani/Obi close again, you see some pretty awesome camera angles. I think its without a doubt going to put the ROTJ endor space battle to shame.

Even though I really wasn't a big fan of the prequels but I'm diffenately going to see ROTS. Not because I think it will be good ( if fact I really I'm not sure at this point) but because I just have to.
I'm not sure if anyone agrees but I've always felt to be a major flaw with the new prequels is that they start when Anakin is a child and progress through manhood to when he goes to the darkside. It would have been more suitable to portray Anakin as an adult from the begining of the story to give the character of Anakin ( who is the protagonist more power within the story)...moving the story along faster and creating a mirror affect with the first triology, not that the prequels should be the same as episodes 4,5,6 but I feel it would have given everyone as sense of familiarity.
And I'm not sure if Hayden was the best choice to play Anakin Skywalker. Not that he's horrible at it but for instance Han Solo, Leia, and Luke Skywalker of the first trilogy I can't see anyone but Harrison,Carrie, or Mark playing these characters but I can't say the same for the character of Anakin. Even though from the trailers he looks like he's grown into the role...but we'll see.

Plo Koon was the stuff. I liked how in Jedi Academy you could customize your character to look like him in the face.

Thanks for mentioning this, Gummibear. I was recently thinking the same thing.
It would've been a good comparison between the prequels and original trilogy to have Anakin be about the same age as Luke when he began his Jedi training, but perhaps Lucas wrote it that way to build the relationship between Anakin and Padme, and more importantly, leave Anakin without a father figure after the death of Qui-Gon Jinn.
Yeah, Anakin should have started out much older. Padme was like twice his age.
Yeah, Qui-Gon was a father figure...for about a week.
And Jake Lloyd sucked.

I think that sentiment (about the story beginning with Anakin being older) has been mentioned before. A lot of others feel the same way. At first I was an adamant believer in that as well, but lately Ive backed off a bit. Im going to wait and see what happens in Revenge of the Sith before deciding if it wouldve been better with being older...
As for Anakin being played by Hayden Christenson. I was at first against it, but now I think he's the perfect fit for the character. Although somewhat immature at times, I see that occur only because thats who Anakin is, not a result of Hayden's acting ability. I think Revenge of the Sith will show the true ability of Christenson and that him being cast as Anakin/Darth Vader was the best decision possible.

I agree, Episode 1 should have started off maybe when Anakin was like 13 or 14. And Episode 2 wouldn't have been half bad if they had Anakin at about the same age he was then.

I don't claim to know alot about starwars but does it seem to anyone else that they are cramming too much history in too short a time?
People act like jedis are just myths in A new hope but we know they were all over the place like 20 years ago. (assuming luke is born at the end of sith)
Or that this whole clone war bussiness came up and went way too fast.
The originals didnt really have a super heavy plott: Good Guys vs Evil Empire.
I dunno....
