This is a powerful piece, BethMcBeth. It speaks a lot to me, especially after the past few days.

I like it, nonetheless. Kudos! This is a good piece.

Great piece, Beth! Does say a lot about life. Great job on all the various people shapes. Looks like that took a bit of time.

For The One who is Lonely...

Nice pic Kirby^_^ very nice.

I feel something for that girl. I know the feeling of seclusion and loneliness. The wanting to be found, but is faced with the realization that no help will be found. Then, at the moment of complete despair, a light from an unsuspecting origin from an unlikely savior shines from a distance. Unable to focus your eyes upon this angel a mercy, you fear that it is a figment of your imagination. At last, you feel the warm arms and you realize you have been truly saved.

Thank you, Beth. I can truly relate with the character of this picture. It is truly marvelous. Kudos!!!

Great drawing, Beth. She does look rather lonely there surrounded by trees. She also looks rather cold too. Specifically in her hand and how she has her arms around herself.

Great piece!

Hey Beth, I like these newest two, and man have I ever felt like the person in both of these pictures too! Especially recently, you know why! Frown

I think they're great with showing the emotion you want to get across. And the one where you take a ticket for a better life and there's the neverending line, that gets it across comically too. Made me laugh while at the same time thinking, aww that sucks! Tongue

Great job, keep it up!

I really like your choice of colors Beth. Cool
She is set off very nicely by the green of the trees and the radient light. I thought it was moonlight myself.

She does look very cold and very lonely. Given the way her hair is, I would say there is an uncomfortable breeze there as well. brrr.

Nice work Beth,

You Came Unexpected...
Tony Waynewrong 02-03-2005 11:52 PM
Hmmmm... This cat seems very familar. I guess she is the one who visited Lizard a few minutes ago. Big Grin

Kudos, it's very nice!

A Ice Cube In The Ocean: Inspired by Karl
BabyGhia 02-04-2005 08:15 PM
Interesting piece. I'm guessing those are mountains the ocean is flowing over? And snow capped? Hmmm... nice piece.

Does look pretty simular. I wonder if the neighbors found it. I dont think it belonged there. The dude that lives there is one of my DA buddies and he has pet rats. Shocked

I've gotten pretty far behind...

"Life Sucks." This reminds me something a friend had on his wall at work, years ago. It showed a cartoon of a teen-aged boy saying, "Dad, they say can afford to have a house or a life. I've decided to have a life."

This same guy had a picture of someone pointing a pistol at the viewer and the caption, "At some point in every project, it's time to shoot the engineers and start production."

"For the One Who Is Lonely." Lonely and COLD, I see. Nice piece. I hope to see the happy ending part someday.

"You Came Unexpectedly." I had an orange cat once, when I was little. I think his name was Lion, but I can't quite remember. But he was never skinny like that one.

"Ice Cube in the Ocean." Next you should do, "Orange soda in the ice cream container" or "Hershey bar in the microwave." Karl is an endless source of inspiration.

Hhaha actually ACT I have been meaning to do some short comics with Karl in them and all of his funny things he does. I'll get to it.. ^_~"""

Anywho heres a quick sketch of some plant-life activity.

I love the transitions you have expressed her. From seed to blosoom. I really liked it. Big Grin

And back to seed. I like the cycle you've shown in this.

Yikes, I haven't checked this thread in a while, sorry! Your art is very expressive, Beth! I really like all the bold lines you use.. they all look like you just sort of put down how you were feeling, you know? All of your lines look very free, if that makes any sense. Keep it up! There's some really good ideas going on here. Happy
