Asa for the wax thing, I'd say it simply looks like an oil painting of her. (Robin definately has more skill than Crowboy at painting their love intrest, no?)

I agree, Wingnut, definitely this has the feel of a painting. One day in the near future at this rate, we are going to be able to see a work of art online and not know if it was made on the computer or made by hand.
