So, how many of you have seen it?
I recently saw it again, and I was like
"Oh my God! Its the Union place!"
I always see it, but that was the first time I saw it since seeing it on Big O.

Sorry R.Smith but this pic was too relavant.
I've never been to grand central station but I've seen it on TV.
Yup.
It spooked the bejezzus out of me the first time I saw that in Big O.
Paradigm is definitely NYC

It was so strange seeing it in real life. And then see it animated, all run down.

Never been there myself (or any of Parad..err New York City). I'll have to go down there some time and see it.

R. Umino, I'm tempted to move this to the Speakeasy Forum, since it doesn't really have much to with Big O (I know Grand Central was featured in the seires, but this thread seems to be more of a discussion about the building itself, rather than Big O). If you want me to move the thread, just send me a PM, but if you want it to remain here just be sure to try and steer it in a more Big O-oriented direction. Thanks.

Maybe Krang and Shredder should open a NYC and Paradigm comparsion section
I know a number of buildings are the same
EDIT:
Almasy, I wanted to make this more of thread to see how people thought of TGCT being in Big O
So, if this gets 'less Big O centered' you can move it. I have no problems.

I've been to Grand Central a few times, since I live very close to Manhattan... The really strange thing is, during on trip to Manhattan I actually passed by a nightclub named the 'Nightengale' and a bar named the 'Speak Easy' within a few blocks of each other!

Actually, you can see the Roger Smith Hotel from the Lexington side of Grand Central. I passed it going there...

Sounds interesting MetalGoldKnight.
Well, does anyone else see any comparsions with NYC and Paradigm?
We see the Hudson River.
And did anyone else think Eugene's HQ was originally the Museum of National History?

Yeah, I've been to Grand Central Terminal plenty of times...it's really a very nice station. I must admit that I did get the shivers when I saw it all beaten down in Big O...I hope I never have to see that in reality.
Coney Island (Act 17) is another NYC (specifically, Brooklyn) landmark which is presented in the series...again, it's a wonderful place in reality...
And once again, I hope I never live to see that place in ruins (like it is in Big O, at least) either.

Concerning Eugine's headquarters being the Museum of Natural History...interesting. I'd need to re-watch "Missing Cat" so I can see his headquarters again. I interned at the Museum of Natural History over the summer, so I have a very good idea of the museum's layout...

I would be interested in knowing that as well. In one of the acts there was a shot of what appeared to be Big Ben in ruins. I could be mistaken but that's what I thought of right off. Also wasn't there mention of the Hudson in "Bring Back My Ghost"?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Interesting place for a guy dedicated to most unnatural experimenation to set up shop.
And yes, the Hudson was mentioned directly in BBMG. Bonnie was knocked into it during the Buyout Riots.
I've always thought it was interesting that the People in Paradigm still use the names assigned to the streets. Like 'JFK Mark, they don't know what 'JFK' means but they use it anyway. It adds an odd kind of creepiness to the show. It feels to me a lot like living in a graveyard for some reason but it's more like dressing up in your parents clothes and playing at having grown-up lives.
I noticed Grand Central Station immediently and it really creeped me out. Does anyone know what that underground room was that Roger and Dorothy saw in 'Underground Terror'? Or was it just your standard issue freaky underground room?

The biggest evidence for the Paradigm-NYC connection?
In Daemonseed, I believe, Dan Datsun was checking off points on a city map. Guess what city layout the map had? You guessed it, New York City.

Standard freeky underground room, just like everything else below the subway level.

I had always assumed that it was Big Ben and that it was an example of the "Foreign Wastelands".

Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant the 'Matropoliatin Museum of Art'. Sorry, I always get them confused ^^;;
