The PC Cookout Thread! Tentative 2005 date: 7/9
If a moderator would be so kind as to "sticky" this, it would be appreciated!
This is the official PC cookout thread!
Spring is on the way, and that means that summer isn't too far behind!
I would like to have a cookout for PC members sometime in June.
Because Cape Cod is absolutely legendary when it comes to weekend traffic, it is probably best to have it on a Saturday--that way you avoid the big rush on to the Cape on Friday and the big rush off on Sunday.
If it turns out everyone has graduations and weddings to go to, July would be fine too, although not the July 4th weekend unless you want to spend half the day in traffic!
If we get enough people, we can have the cookout at the beach!

I live in CT, so I could probably come to this. Any time in the summer is good for me.

And for those of us on the left coast, I extend an invitation for a cookout here on the farm on a Saturday in June TBD. We'll have a potluck & a hot Weber kettle, and I think I can promise there'll be hamburgers and chicken. Those so inclined can chat with the East Coast party; we should be able to set up a computer for the purpose.
So if you have particularly propitious dates, suggestions, please!

Mmm. At the cook out (East coast) we should have burgers, hotdogs and chicken (depending on the turnout). I should cook some of them, I love cooking burgers. Delicious.

Well anyways...you might need to figure out how to get a few of us there who can't drive and might not be able to be driven there...(I don't know if my folks would even agree to it in the first place, but if they do I don't know if they'll have the time to drive me to your place.)

If you want to go, say so. I am sure that we will be able to arrange ride-sharing. |

and i dunno if anyone is willing to come ALL the way out to Los Angeles

PCT and I live on a week-by-week basis concerning money, so we're not sure if we'll be able to make it up to the Cape.
Might just arrange something for the Floridians since there's a whole contingient of us down here.
I'll talk more with you about it next month when I visit, Zola.

Ooh a beachy cookout, omg SOOO NICE! O_O The boy and I are carless, though (car-less, not careless
no typo) so I don't know if we could make it. But who knows, maybe mi madre will bring up the Kia Sportage in time, in which case we could cram in about another 2 people. We'd have to make sure the "kids" were watched over, unless we bring them too, which we've done. *lol* Red Roof Inn in Dallas and Kentucky had two furry visitors once before, I'm sure Cape Cod wouldn't mind.
I've never been up that far north, man, this sounds so fun! I could make desserts! Anyone like apple pie? Cherry pie? Any pie? Cake? Cupcakes? I'd make my delish seafood salad, but it wouldn't make the ride without spoiling, and I wouldn't be able to make it up there, soooo I'll make a sweet treat, if we can come.
I'll be crossing my fingers!

As long as it's not too close to July 23-25 I might be able to show up. Then again, I was planning something similar for us New Jersey-ans, considering the mass of us here too...

Though it's still in the planning stages, I have a good idea on what it would be like...hehehe
((Starts with me getting out the the car and walking around to the back where the people are))
------------------------
*a little smoke is seen rising above the house...good BBQ smell in the air and the grill goin*
Evan dressed in full Zenigata guise walks around back who is led by PCT and ACT who are dressed like Doug and T-Bone with fros...a crowd of japanese cameramen follow them (no one knows who invited them tho) O_o;;
*Evan reaches the backyard [assuming you got one

] and he sees a crowd of young people and a few couples milling around food tables and various other things*
Evan pulls out a bullhorn and points it to a character in a white suit.
*screams into the bullhorn* ROSEWATER YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!

ha! How ya doing Big Fau?
*the guy turns around...a younger boy with dark hair. Tis "Big Fau"*
They shakes hands and throw the occasional inside joke about and then Evan moves over to the hotdog and condiments table. He spies his hostess Zola and a man beside her (presumably Falcon7...I hope) and waves and compliments them on a great cookout
Evan turns around to reach for a soda and bumbs into a shaddy lookin guy.
Huh...O_o Schwarzwald?!
They say hello and then he goes back without hesitation to grabbing a plateful of hotdogs and runs off. Evan sighs with a smile and chuckles. He looks around. He spies Lady Tesser talking with a few other people he has never seen...R.Smith "charming" Lizard Shaoblane in the usual "Lupinish" way (and ultimately gets hit by a random rock
) >_> .... <_< ...Evan takes off the trenchcoat and places it on a lawn chair and sits down next to a strange lookin fellow who is quiet and holding a binder full of records of MFL events. It's gotta be Fallen Phoenix...
...meh f**k it...
Evan gets up to grab a soda and then sees everybody watch a stranger enter into the party...Evan asks Zoal who the hell that is...and people flock/attack/cheer him. Krang has arrived...with Shredder behind him who is holding a crow bar holding back the small mob of people...
GK walks up from the sterio and pats Evan on the back knowing there's only one person who is crazy enough to be in slacks and a trencoat in this heat wave
*time passes and the afternoon drags on and people leave in their cars occasionally*
...by this time Evan has suceeded in handcuffing "Big Fau" (Zach) about 3 times and while doing so getting 'judo chopped' [I understand you do karate or something of that nature

]
about 5 times. Lizard has stolen Evan's hat about 12 times and Schwarzwald has gone into his "rabid canadian" routine twice...the second time being taken away by PCT, ACT, and Falcon7 in a make shift straight jacket made from a volleyball net O_o;;;;;; The food is gone but little snacks and music are plentifull...Mage (Nancy) has been hanging out with Jason for some time...though they haven't been seen for about 24 minutes 0.o ...uhh...Krang and Shredder left a while ago due to some 'emergency' and haven't been out of Zola's computer room for almost 3 hours O__O...Evan had brought his digital camera and took over 50 pictures of chaos and laughs during his stay ^_^ Sadly the van pulls up in the street and Evan's parents walk around and call him to "let's go". Evan says good bye to everyone and finds Jason and Nancy on Zola's garage roof O_o while he walks to the front of the house. Good day and good party...and a certain ticking present left in Big Fau's left jacket pocket.
------------------------
Well?!? IT COULD HAPPEN @_@;;;

You forgot the Monty Python reenactments, the Big O quotes, and my husband leading the pack of punsters.
Don't forget Dog-chan stealing all the ribs. ^_^
Hmm. If we make it, I'll contribute the deviled eggs, Bryant's barbeque sauce, and the sun tea.

It'll never happen, unfortunately.
In the meantime, a box with a scowl crudely drawn on it, that has a bottle of vodka taped to the side, and a cigarette protruding from the mouth works as a remarkably effective proxy of me.
