Come on, chill out. No need to get all mad about it.
Yeah, Paradigm is definitely NYC.
You see aerial shots of it in episodes 25 and 26, and it's almost the exact same shape as Manhattan. There even appears to be a big, open space in the middle of it, like Central Park.
Not to mention that the architecture is hugely reminiscent of New York in the 1940-50's. The Empire State Building even appears in Roger's hallucination during Episode 14.

Yeah, Paradigm is definitely NYC. It's not quite apparent at first, but it all adds up. I first figured it out in "Bring Back My Ghost", with the mention of Bonnie Frazer falling into the Hudson during the Buyout Riots. The aerial views of Paradigm in the last few episodes really sealed it.

Plus the MP radio transmission in Enemy is Another Big that refers to the disturbence being located at the old airport near JFK mark, or something along those lines. Refering to Kennedy airport in the real world.

As others have said, it is indeed
New York City. A few trival facts about New York-as Paradigm...
Battery Park (the southern tip of Manhattan) is submerged below water. Southern Queens (the Rockaway Penninsula) and Coney Island (possibly much of southern Brooklyn, as well) are both deserts, though it is possible that not all of Brooklyn-Queens is a desert because Aliesberry Farm may be on Long Island.
Much of this was discussed in
this thread a while back.
More discussion on Paradigm=New York can also be found in
this thread.
This way, there won't be as much repetition of information.

Everyone knows Paradigm is New York. The people who voted you are an idiot probably voted that because you made this look like a new discovery, not because they didn't agree that the city was New York. If your friend doesn't believe it that's his problem, but it's more or less a fact at this point. It even says so on the official site, although you would have to read Japanese to see it.

I agree with you, dominusofdeath, it's definately New York City. I think there was actually some grey area as to whether or not it was New York in season one, but as of season two, it is definately New York. Good observation

And don't feel bad about the 'Old News' pic - its not the first time its been used - I get a good chuckle out of it when I see it

Ok.... So if Paradigm is New York City, then what does that make us. We all have a story like in the Big-O but the problem is that we all don't fit everyones character description in the series. Maybe we are the neo-paradigm city citizens......

Paradigm City is actually deep in the bowels of the earth, in a parallel world within our own. That's why we have earth quakes. If you go down there when you die I'd be happy!
I would have voted that your an idiot Dominus of Death. But just to be funny. I would have never meant it. Anyway, the reason I didn't was because I'm an idiot as well!!

So, yeah NYC it is.

I voted Yes. Lots of clues lead to that conclusion. Grand Central Station... in NY. Grew up in NJ so a lot of NY clues were easy for me to pick out. Not all... I moved to CA when I was 10.

PS. Dominusofdeath, don't take much of this personally. You're not an idiot. I know that a lot of things have been discussed to death in these forums.
