Can I get a dome count?

You may be right, but Long Island is very large compared to Manhattan. It would be quite possible for the Atlantic Ocean side (where Coney Island and JFK airport are) to be all sand and the area near North Beach and Flushing to be ok. Or the Ailesberry dome may have built to keep out the sand.
A Long Island location is consistent with the smoke from the burning Ailesberry dome being visible to the right of Paradigm main dome in Act 23, if Dastun were on the southern part of Manhatten.

Yes, that is probably true...I didn't really pay attention to the location of Aliesberry when it was burning...
I'll probably have to watch that episode with a better sense of directions again before I could be sure. You're definitely right...Long Island is huge compared to Manhattan, so it is very possible that only the south-western side of the island is a desert. Wasn't the impression I initially received from the series, but again, I'll have to rewatch those episodes to be sure.

Here's the relevent shot from Act 23:

In this shot, the camera must be at the SW end of Manhattan, facing east, to get both the sunken skyscrapers and the Ailesberry dome. That puts Ailesberry in Brooklyn, which is farther south than I remembered. (The only other place it could be is Staten Island, which appears to be gone.)
That is one enormous dome. Notice that it is not hemispherical. That means it will tend to flatten out. The anchors at the base must be very strong indeed.
Presumably Roger drove over the Triborough Bridge & took I-278 to Aislesberry on his previous visits.
Cheers!

It is....
It has to be big in order to make it an efficient farming environment.

I just thought of something - doesn't living in a dome mean you're coughing in everyone else's face (figuratively) ... or at least sharing the same air. It reminds me of something I read about ceasars last breatrh...

the domes have access to the outside world. They have airshafts and highway tunnels, so the air can move about.

Yeah, it would be a disaster if someone farted and there was no way to disperse the fumes.

That's true. On the other hand, the volume enclosed by even the smallest domes we've seen in the show is vastly more than the largest buildings today. In addition to evan's HVAC system, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there was actual weather inside the domes.
Hanger One at
Moffett Field in Sunnyvale is 198' tall inside, large enough for rain to fall. I imagine the domes would be even more so.

This might be a first, I just wrote this song about this thread:
Can I get a dome count? To all of my ladies who don’t got love, for homies without dubs.
Can I get a dome count? To all of my homies who don’t love domes, you get no doe.

UMMMM that oval thing in the foreground is not a dome but more like a crater lake..... Ailseberry should be much much larger than that.
Plus the super dome isn't solid, or necessarilly a dome. it just seems to be suspended up there somehow.

Yeah, that dome is the foreground doesn't appear to be a dome at all. It's WAY too small.

I’m reviving this old thread for two reasons:
1. The official dome count here is inaccurate, in more ways then one. After researching the matter for my
screenplay, I have come to the conclusion that there is no official number. If Sunrise needed a dome, they just added it in. Proof is in the attached images. You can see the first image matches the previous picture that is used throughout this topic, but the second image does not match at all. It has fewer domes, which are out of place, and weird highway design. This is true throughout the series.
2. The other reason is I’m trying to figure out, if there are domes outside of Manhattan island, other then Ailesberry. Also, what side of Manhattan is Ailesberry on, the Hudson side or the other?

Counting them is going to be pretty damn hard.

Ailesberry is Long Island ("Isles"berry), probably consisting of what is currently Brooklyn & Queens. This is established in the long shot of Act 23, when Dastun observes Aislesberry on fire. Since he sees it across a stretch of water with buildings sticking out, he must be near the southern end of Manhattan Island, looking east.

I can't be Long Island, for reasons previously mentioned in this topic. Also, Queens doesn’t fit because Roosevelt Island is clearly still around in Paradigm City, and that is not in the picture. Brookline doesn’t make sense because the water body in front of Ailseberry is too short, keeping in mind all pictures of Paradigm City show the lower half of Manhattan underwater. It also doesn’t work because it is getting close to the defined desert area. That leaves New Jersey and the Bronx. It is not likely the Bronx, based solely on just my person believes; Bronx and farming don’t fit well together. Which leaves the “Garden State,” but where there is still hard.
