The Face of Big O

grrr.. Big O is watching you.. with his blank expression..
or his he?

Whenever we see Big O, he/it always has this same emotion modeled on his face, the one built there that all the Bigs have.
But in different situations, that same blank stare can express alot of emotion.

Example?

Act 1. Right after Big O punches through Dorothy 1 and she's falling right in front of him, for about a second we see Big O staring at Dorothy 1. Whenever we see this I always think he's saying "booyah! take that fool!"

In, i think it was Act 24, when Dorothy was being taken away by those scorpian bots, Big O at first saves her within the mansion, and he looks mad. and then when with Roger he breaks right out of the building, it's like "oooooooooh, you are SOO DEAD!!"

Any place you think big O has shown us that the blank face is simply a mask?

What the hell are you talking about?

Of course he has a blank stare, his face is one solid metal mask.

Maybe at times the animator drew his face at different angles or slightly altered in order to convey some sort of emotion.

But other than that any expresssion that you see is only in you head. HE has the same look all the time.

It says "I PWN YO'R @$$ YOU EVIL SON OF A B**CH!!!"

I have to admit, the one eyed leer is one kickass face.

I ask you, what do the Bigs do on a regular basis? They judge. They're always saying "Ye not guilty" and killing things. The expression on their faces simply fortifies that motif.

Probably a good portion of the emotion you get from it is the background music, although the one-eyed Big O from Schwarzwald's cockpit is looking pretty ticked off.

Wasn't the one-eyed look because Big Duo managed to knock out one of the lenses during the fight?

yup. Man that was a great fight, in fact duo squeezed o's head causing the lens to crack and shatter.

But still, the apperent look on Big O's face when he punches through the wall and saves Dorothy from a scorpian bot says "get your claws away from my android" even without music, you can tell that attitude it present, now lighting may play a part in that considering that particular scene is indoors, but no matter, the feeling is still there. If anyone has a screencap please post so all can see my POV.

When I saw that scene and the look on Big O's face, I nearly choked on my breakfast.
Freakin' awesome stuff.

Yeah, I'd like to see a screen cap of that, too.

It's amazing the amount of emotion that an unmovable metal plate can show, isn't it? Rage, confusion, vengeance and more. Yet its just a single metal plate. Just one more reason why Big O kicks serious butt.

It's the same with the Muppets - they have the same face, but whatever their movement or situation is, you can 'see' the emotions they have.

Besides, I always thought Big O's plate looked like Roger's face (which had been established before), only less smirking going on.

actually...having relooked at people's faces in the series I'd say Big O ws modeled after Waineright. (sp!?) ...and Big Fau was built by that cook scientist with the Daemonseed (cook as in crazy person...not as in Chief ~~;;; )

Do you realise what you just said. You said that Big Fau's face looks like the face of the crazy Santa person. Funny

All the megadeuses have sad expressions. Those two lines under each of their eyes are actually tear lines.



Sad because none of em' get any hot robot action with venus

They should of had a megadeus called Comedy & Tragedy. With one side of the faceplate in a joyous smile and the other half in a mournful frown. That would look pretty demented...
